2018 – Where It All Started
Professional Movers began in 2018 as the vision of two dedicated individuals, Mr. Vishav Kaushal and Mr. Rupinder Singh Bajwa. Both were working in IT, but they shared the dream of creating a company built on trust, reliability, and care for customers. With just a Ford E250 van, they started helping families move single items and one-bedroom apartments.
Though small in scale, these early moves defined the company’s values. Every customer was treated like family, every belonging was handled with care, and every job was completed with commitment. This focus on quality quickly earned the trust of the local community and laid the foundation for growth.
2019 – Growth Through Quality Service
By early 2019, demand had grown beyond expectations. To serve larger moves, the team invested in a 16-foot cube van, enabling them to handle two- and three-bedroom homes. Soon, their reputation for professionalism brought opportunities with XPO Distribution and Lowe’s, marking their first big contracts.
That same year, they opened their first location at 12 Penrith St, Kanata, ON K2W 1C8 and expanded their fleet with two 26-foot trucks. The business, which had started as a side hustle, now employed four people and was quickly becoming a trusted name in Ottawa.
2020 – Building the Team and Operations
The growth continued in 2020. With more residential and commercial clients turning to Professional Movers, the company scaled to a 20-member team, established a booking team with two sales consultants, and appointed an operations manager and five team leaders.
Operations were run from their headquarters at 1581 Bank St, Ottawa, ON K1H 7Z3, a small but significant step in professionalising their services. What set them apart was not just their growing fleet, but their ability to combine customer care with efficient systems.
2021 – Expansion and New Partnerships
The year 2021 was a turning point. Professional Movers moved into a larger warehouse and head office at 17 F Enterprise Avenue, Nepean. This allowed for better fleet management, storage solutions, and the capacity to serve larger contracts.
One of the company’s proudest achievements was partnering with Upper Room Home Furnishings, completing 25 to 40 deliveries daily of luxury furniture, along with installation and assembly. In a year, the team has completed over 1,000 furniture deliveries and installations.
The company also became a trusted partner for restoration and construction firms such as Firestone, Belfore Property Restoration, Paul Davis Restoration, and Falk Built, handling everything from tempered glass and doors to specialized moves for schools, libraries, and dental offices.
2021 also marked expansion into the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with the opening of a new location at 2737 Keele St #1015, North York, ON M3M 2E9.
2022–2025 – Becoming a Recognized Ontario Brand
Between 2022 and 2025, Professional Movers experienced rapid growth in Ontario. The company established seven service locations in the GTA, expanded its fleet to 15 box trucks and multiple cube vans, and grew its workforce to over 100 employees.
A new warehouse at 6625 Tomken Rd #20, Mississauga, ON L5T 2C2, was opened to support GTA operations. During this period, the company completed over 20,000 moves, ranging from small apartments to luxury bungalows. They also became the trusted moving partner for Del Suites, MTLI Group of Companies and continued to work with realtors, businesses, and families alike.
This growth was not only about numbers but also about trust. With consistent five-star reviews, Professional Movers built a reputation for combining the efficiency of a large company with the personal touch of a family-run business.

To strengthen operations in the region, we have also established a dedicated warehouse at 5180 Still Creek Ave, Burnaby, BC V3J 1R4. This step brings us closer to our ultimate vision: becoming a truly national moving company by 2027, proudly serving Canadians from coast to coast.
