The Marble Hall police are investigating a murder case after a wife allegedly stabbed her husband to death at their Leeuwfontein RDP home on Saturday, 09 August 2025.

According to reports, authorities received a complaint about a murder in Leeuwfontein. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man lying in a pool of blood. Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim was engaged in a physical altercation with his wife when she allegedly grabbed a sharp object and stabbed him in the upper body.

Emergency medical services personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

A murder case has been opened, and police have launched a full investigation into the incident.

The suspect, the victim’s wife, was arrested on the same day. She is expected to appear before the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 11 August 2025, to face a murder charge.

Police have confirmed that investigations are still ongoing.
