Kagisanong Police, in collaboration with the Bloemfontein Flying Squad, have arrested five men in connection with the theft of property from Hodisa Technical School. The suspects, aged between 21 and 34, were found in possession of stolen air conditioners, copper pipes, a Bosch grinder, and a Bosch drill.

The arrests followed a tip-off received by police on Wednesday, 5 August 2025, regarding a group of males allegedly grinding stolen property at a house in Rocklands, Bloemfontein. Upon raiding the premises, officers discovered the suspects actively dismantling the stolen items, which were later confirmed to have been taken from Hodisa Technical School.

The burglary occurred earlier that same day, when suspects broke into the school’s Technical Lab in the early hours of Wednesday, stealing equipment intended for student learning.

Kagisanong Police have commended the swift response and urged community members to continue working with law enforcement to combat such crimes. Authorities are also searching for additional suspects linked to recent school burglaries, which have resulted in significant theft and damage to educational resources.

The five suspects are set to appear in court soon to face charges of possession of suspected stolen property. Police have indicated that further arrests are expected as investigations continue
