
The body of a 31-year-old woman, who was reported missing at the Sunrise police station on Tuesday, 03 April 2025, has been recovered, police confirmed on Wednesday, 06 August 2025.
The breakthrough in the case led to the arrest of two persons of interest following an intensive investigation by a dedicated police team. Authorities worked tirelessly to gather evidence, ultimately linking the suspects to the crime.
The two suspects, aged 25 and 26, have been charged with murder and defeating the ends of justice. They are expected to appear in the De Aar Magistrate’s Court in the coming days.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) emphasized the importance of reporting missing persons immediately, noting that early reporting increases the likelihood of a successful resolution.
