
Police in Bohlokong are appealing to the community for any information that could help identify the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of a woman whose burnt body was discovered early Monday morning.
The gruesome discovery was made at approximately 06:30 on 4 August 2025 in Phase 7, Bohlokong, by a community member. The victim, whose identity remains unknown, had sustained stab wounds, and her body was burned beyond recognition. Authorities have confirmed that a postmortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death and to establish whether she was sexually assaulted before her murder.
Detectives are urging anyone with information that could assist in identifying the deceased or locating the perpetrator(s) to come forward. This horrific crime occurs during Women’s Month, a period dedicated to celebrating and honouring the contributions of women in society. Authorities have condemned the attack, describing such acts as “deeply disturbing and unacceptable.” Police have called on the community to unite in the fight against gender-based violence and to support law enforcement efforts to ensure justice is served.
