The Northern Cape SAPS Provincial Organized Crime Investigation Unit has arrested a 43-year-old woman after she was found in possession of a large quantity of suspected drugs during a raid in Galeshewe on Thursday, 22 May 2025.
According to police reports, officers acted on intelligence about a residence on Dorah Pico Street in Galeshewe, where drugs were allegedly being stored. The information was swiftly operationalized, leading to a search of the identified property.
During the operation, authorities discovered a substantial stash of suspected CAT (methcathinone) hidden in one of the rooms, with an estimated street value exceeding R330,000. The suspect was immediately arrested, and the drugs were confiscated.
The woman is expected to appear in court soon, while police investigations remain ongoing.
