One person killed and another in a critical condition following a shooting incident on Edwin Swales Drive just after 2pm on Monday afternoon
ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived on the scene to find SAPS and EMRS already in attendance. Paramedics were directed to the scene and found two males lying in a pool of blood. Immediately Advanced Life Support Paramedics assessed both men and found that the one man had sustained major injuries as a result of gunshot wounds and there was nothing more Paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene. The second man was found to be in a critical condition with a gunshot wound to his head and Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize him before placing him on a manual ventilator and rushing him to a nearby Durban Hospital for the urgent care that he required.
At this it is alleged that a arm robbery occurred and a shoot out occurred however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further…
