Fundi has once again partnered with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) to celebrate top matric achievers in KwaZulu-Natal. The provincial awards recognise the outstanding results of dedicated and tenacious matriculants across the region who achieved a collective pass rate of 89.5% for the province.
Fundi recently joined local celebrations to support the DBE’s KwaZulu-Natal Award Ceremony – contributing three shopping vouchers to top matriculants. Held in Durban this year, the awards recognise and reward the region’s highest achievers.
“We want to thank teachers in the province for their hard work and acknowledge their contribution in shaping the future of our children,” says Mary Maponya, Fundi Executive Head: Lending. “We further celebrate the learners themselves, who have had to overcome diverse challenges, and who have made the most of each and every opportunity they’ve been given, to be able to stand here today. We want to encourage them to continue to excel, and to keep on reaching for success.”
She adds that Fundi is committed to each learner’s growth. “As an organisation that enables access to quality education with our solutions, we are privileged to be part of these celebrations. We congratulate each matriculant and wish them every success going forward,” Maponya concludes.
