Just after 02:00, the Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit received a call to Waterkloof Heights in Pretoria East for a security officer who was shot during an armed robbery, while on route we were informed that three people sustained gunshot wounds during the robbery.
On arrival, three patients were found in serious and critical conditions. The team, along with other first responders, started stabilizing the patients.
Two of the patients were transported to nearby hospitals via ambulances. One patient sustained critical injuries, and the decision was made to airlift them to a specialist Trauma hospital in Johannesburg.
SAPS was on scene to investigate….
