Janaiten Spanneberg (21) was sentenced to eight years imprisonment by Sutherland Regional Court for murder of a 17-year-old boy earlier this month.
Spanneberg was arrested on 13/12/2013 after he stabbed the victim multiple times during a fight in a local tavern in Sutherland.
The sentence was welcomed by the deceased family, which thanked the investigating officer, Sergeant Elton Klein for his dedication on the case and for always keeping them up to date about the progress of the case.
