Earlier this morning, members from Durban Search and Rescue were called out to Treves Court McArthur Street in Albert Park, for a residential building fire.
A woman, involved in a domestic family feud, set a vehicle alight in a ground floor garage. The fire spread rapidly and the Fire Department battled to contain the fire due to the confined access. SAPS Search And Rescue members quickly pulled the burning vehicle out onto the roadway using their winch. The fire was then quickly extinguished by the Durban Fire Department preventing the spread to the rest of the building.
No injuries were reported and fire damage was contained to the storage area.
Durban Central SAPS is investigating the case.
