Seven men aged between 17 and 29 have been arrested and will appear in court in Bloemfontein on Monday on charges of murder, armed robbery, and possession of stolen property, Free State police said.
Whittey Jameson, 45, was found stabbed to death by his wife when she arrived home from work at about 8pm on November 28, Sergeant Sinah Mpakane said on Saturday.
“The deceased had multiple stab wounds all over his body. His clothes, shoes, laptop, cellphone, and tablet were missing.”
Police followed up on intelligence-driven information on Friday and traced seven suspects to their hiding place in the Bloemspruit area. “They were positively linked to some of the property allegedly belonging to [Jameson] which was found in their possession,” Mpakane said.
