A 63-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of possession of drugs, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane said that on Tuesday at about 7pm, Cato Manor crime prevention members were patrolling around the Bonela, Mayville, area when they received a tip-off about a man allegedly dealing in drugs.
Upon further investigation, they recovered 1,890 heroin capsule and cash of R9,154.
“The suspect was then arrested and charged for possession of drugs and is expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court.”
