A 19-year-old man is expected to apply for bail in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, on charges of murder and attempted murder.
Cameron Wilson, 19, is charged with the murder and mutilation of 18-year-old Lekita Moore. Her body was found on a field in Valhalla Park last month.
In September, police spokesperson FC van Wyk said the suspect was arrested in connection with the brutal killing of Moore.
Her mutilated body, with multiple stab wounds, was found in a field along Tuna Road, Van Wyk said.
At the time he did not elaborate on the condition of a friend of the deceased, who she was reportedly with. The friend was also stabbed and was in a critical condition in hospital.
