Detectives apprehended a 37-year-old male suspect for child negligence at Philadelphia Flat corner Jeppe and Von Weiligh Street on the 29 August 2022 at 16:00.
It is alleged that father left his three year old daughter asleep in the above mentioned place on 18 August 2022 at 19:00 and went to work. The child fell from the twelve floor through the window.
She was certified dead by the paramedics.
Investigation is underway and suspect is appearing today, 30 August 2022 in the Johannesburg Magistrate Court.
Johannesburg Central Station Commander Brigadier Perumal sensitise parents not to leave their children unattended. These incident should have been avoided if a father left the child with someone else.
