Murder 1 May 2016: Elderly Afrikaner farmer Fritz van der Westhuizen (picture) has died from injuries he sustained during a farm attack at 01h00am on 30 April 2016 on his farm near Cumberland, Thabazimbi.
He was repeatedly bludgeoned with a garden-spade. Mrs Elize Duvenhage Venter writes: ‘My son was the paramedic who transported him on critical life assist. (He was) so heartbroken, André kept praying for him and saying ‘so sorry *Oom (*uncle in Afrikaans)’. May those attackers die a slow and painful death’?
