Employees of a clothing business store at Hennenman and a customer were overpowered and threatened with firearms during a business robbery. Cash and cellphones were robbed.

On 27 March 2022, at about 12:20, the complainant was with two of her colleagues, busy serving their customers at a clothing business premises in Steyn Street, Hennenman when a male entered the store and stood at the cash register. He wanted to buy air time but before she could assist him, three other males entered store.

All the employees and one customer were forced to the back part of the store at gunpoint.

The complainant was instructed to hand over cash from the cash registers. A total of 211 cellphones were also robbed. The suspects had face masks. The four suspects left the scene on foot and it is unknown whether a vehicle was used when they fled.

A case of business robbery was registered for further investigation.
