Farmers assist in recovering cattle stolen from a farm in Normandien

Farmers assist in recovering cattle stolen from a farm in Normandien

An operation was conducted by the Anti-Stock Theft Task Team together with a private security company on 8 January 2022 from 06:00 until 18:00.

The team was following up on information about cattle that were stolen at a farm in Normandien.

The local farmers also assisted with horses that was used during the operation.

The team proceeded to a farm in Normandien where 15 Bonsmara cattle were found hidden.

The stolen cattle was positively identified by the lawful owner.

Three suspects aged between 33 and 40 were placed under arrest for stock theft. They are appearing in the Newcastle Magistrates Court today.
