Following a burglary and theft at a house on a farm in the Nuy Valley area in Worcester in the early hours of Sunday morning 2 May 2021, members of the Breede River K9 unit responded swiftly to the reported crime.

On their way to the scene, the K9 unit members were alerted by farm watch members of an empty safe next to the road.

Utilising the Unit’s explosives dog the members followed tracks leading to a dry river bank. The canine reacted to a pile of leaves and sat on it. On investigation the members discovered three hunting rifles, 15 rounds of ammunition, a tag light and a laptop concealed under the pile of leaves.

The search for the suspects continues as detectives investigate a burglary and theft case.
