Gauteng, Centurion – Police are searching for two suspects as they fled from a house robbery in Clubview after their victim fired shots towards them.
Two armed suspects are at large after they fled in a white VW Caddy from a house robbery in Clubview on Saturday, police said.
The pair fled the scene after the home owner fired shots at them.According to the police, the suspects allegedly entered a home in Oxford Street by forcing the door open as it was not locked.
“A brother and a sister were at home, with the brother being upstairs. He then heard his sister screaming downstairs. When he went to check, he saw two guys trying to stab her with a knife and a screwdriver,” said police spokesperson Captain Bonginkosi Msimango.
After seeing the two armed men, the brother allegedly went back upstairs to get his gun. “He fired shots at the suspects. They ran away and the brother chased after him. However, the suspects ran into a white VW Caddy with no registration number and drove away,” Msimango said.
No arrests were made and the suspects allegedly fled with a laptop. “We have opened a case of house robbery. We also found blood stains on the ground which indicates that one of the suspects might have been wounded,” said Msimango.
