A man, believed to be in his thirties, was found with what appears to be a fatal gunshot wound, along the Kareekloof Road (R557), near Meyerton ton the afternoon of 26 September 2019.
At approximately 15:30, paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the man still inside of his bakkie. The vehicle was off the road into a nearby open veld area. He had a wound to his head. Sadly, there was nothing that paramedics could do for him and he was declared dead on the scene.
The incident was handed over to the police that attended the incident. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known.
