The Northern Cape Police welcomed the sentencing that was handed down to Ayanda Ambraal (29) in the Noupoort Regional Court, recently for attempted murder.
The accused had an argument with his girlfriend, Doreen Van Wyk (28) when he stabbed her twice with a knife. Van Wyk was admitted to hospital for a month.
Ayanda was arrested and stayed in custody up until he was found guilty and sentenced in the Noupoort Regional Court on 17 August 2018.
The Pixley Ka Seme Cluster Commander, Brig Nomahlubi Sofika commended investigation officer, D/WO Dawie Kilian for a job well done.
