Man attacked in Krogh Street, Standerton
Gawie Kriel attacked in Standerton

A man was attacked by armed men on January 16, 2015 at 20:40 in Krogh Street, Standerton.

Mr. Gawie Kriel parts manager at East Vaal Motors was the victim of the attack.
The two suspects, tied Mr. Kriel’s hands, took his wallet and pressed a gun against his head. They demanded his PIN code.

They took him to one of the rooms in his apartment and locked him inside.

When he no longer heard the men in the house, he broke open the door and pressed the panic button on which Kasselman Security Services responded.

He sustained light cuts to his forearm in the incident.

It is believed that there are two suspects still at large.

Kasselman Security and the police are looking for a tall man who wore overalls and a short man (no description of clothing).

Both men were armed with pistols and knives during the incident.

Mr. Kriel’s wallet was picked up by contractors who are responsible for road works on the Heidelberg road.
