You never know where they will strike next so you have to keep safety in mind at all times and these are security tips to help you do just that.
Recently there have been many shootings through windows (especially the Nooitgedacht area). Criminals blatantly shoot through windows at homeowners. They shoot first and then force their way into the house.
Some safety tips to keep in mind.
- Do not open the curtains if you hear something at the window because it might just be them waiting for you to show your face!
- Do not sit with your back facing the windows!
- Never leave the safety of your home.
- Do not go outside when help arrives you might be caught in crossfire.
- Never try and help the security officers outside. They have training and experience do deal with the situation.
- Install a doorbell camera. This will allow you to see who’s outside from almost anywhere.
