A passenger train caught fire on a bridge across the N1.
Emergency services managed to extinguish the fire at 19:25.
Passengers jumped out of the burning train and traffic in both directions was stopped for fear of the passengers and burning waste on the highway at the Maraisburg exit.
So far the cause of the fire is not known.
