A woman who identifies herself as “Jane Doe” has dropped her lawsuit against US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for the second time, US media report.

The woman who is only identified by the pseudonym in the lawsuit filed earlier this year alleges that Trump and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein raped her when she was 13 years old (in 1994) during parties hosted by Epstein.

One of her lawyers, Thomas Meagher, filed a voluntary dismissal in the district court in New York on Friday evening, The Guardian reported on Saturday.

In September, another version of the lawsuit, filed in June, was withdrawn.

On October 7, US media released a video from 2005 in which Trump boasts of sexual advances toward women. The comments, made during a pre-interview conversation with TV host Billy Bush, have put Trump’s campaign on the defensive against some Republicans who have called on him to quit the presidential race.

Trump has stated on numerous occasions that he tremendously respects women, which he claims has also been evidenced by opportunities he has created for them in his companies.
