Trump leads national popular vote, holds edge in several key states

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump holds
narrow leads in several swing states over Democratic candidate
Hillary Clinton, with the election hanging in the balance.

Trump pulled into a minute lead early Wednesday in Pennsylvania, with
48.3 per cent to 48.1 per cent for Clinton, with 94 per cent of
precincts reporting results. He leads New Hampshire with 47.9 per
cent to 47 per cent, with 78 per cent counted.

Trump has an advantage of 49 per cent to 45 per cent in Wisconsin
with 84 per cent of precincts reporting results. In neighbouring
Michigan, his edge is 48.4 per cent to 46.5 per cent, 71 per cent of
the vote counted.

In the national popular vote, which does not decide the race, Trump
edged into an advantage of 48.3 per cent to 47.2 per cent.
