Three dogs shot dead for barking in Hyderabad

As Yogi Ashwini says “Freedom is being one with the creation. As soon as you become two, you are bound. It is the dharma of man to love the creation. The only way to overcome fear and to be free is to follow the path of dharma.”

Man forgets that is not possible to celebrate freedom, while denying it to those that share this planet with us.Inhumane treatment of animals to serve human needs does not seem to stop.In yet another heartless act which questions the existence of “humanity”, a city resident shot dead three stray dogs in Tappachabutra locality on Tuesday morning in the Indian city of Hyderabad. People nearby heard the gun-shots and informed the police who have registered a case against an unidentified person under the Indian Penal Code.

While the accused is still at large, the reason for killing the animals is alleged to be “excessive barking”.

With such incidents on the rise in India, most authorities blame the negligible punishments and fines which such animal brutalities attract. People are spared from such matters after paying a small fine of Rs.50 {10.05 South African Rand}. Such offences are bailable and non-cognisable and people committing such crimes are not even arrested sometimes.

Such is the poor state of animal welfare and protection in India. This ruthless shooting of the “barking dogs” comes in the wake of an incident which shocked the world just last month when five juvenile boys burnt 3 puppies alive and video-recorded it as well.

Animals in India need your help and the need of the hour is for the entire world to get together as a community and fulfill their duty towards fellow beings. Dhyan Foundation volunteers are working day in and day out to save these animals – rescuing the injured, nursing the sick and wounded, rehabilitating the orphaned and stray, feeding the hungry, under the guidance of Yogi Ashwini. “It is the dharma (duty) of humans to protect and provide for those weaker than him,” says Yogi Ashwini ji.

Even if you cannot physically help these animals or donate, a firm email or tweet to the enforcement agencies from you can go a long way in improving the situation of animals in India.
