Dhyan Foundation, a voluntary body working for animals across India under the guidance of Yogi Ashwini has announced a reward of Rs300 for saving a monkey in Himachal Pradesh, Rs300 for saving a dog in Kerala and Rs500 for saving gauvansh across the country.
The announcement comes in the wake of recent decision of the government to reward those who kill monkeys in the state of Himachal Pradesh. “Negative karma has to be balanced, it is our job to save. If we dont, the state will face calamity because of the paap generated as a result of monkey killings. All religions say it is in giving that you receive. Lets start believing the religion we follow. Killing monkeys will attract the wrath of Lord Hanuman. Lets not forget it was monkeys who aided Lord Ram in the battle against Ravan. We cannot do this,” expresses Yogi Ashwini, the guiding light of Dhyan Foundation.
“To claim the reward, just show us a video of saving the animal, that is enough. We will award a cheque if the local journalist community approves it,” explains Ruchi Kale, a student of Yogi Ashwini and volunteer at Dhyan Foundation.
Dhyan Foundation has been feeding monkeys daily at the Jhaku Temple, Simla and urging the authorities to revoke the vermin status of monkeys, and rather work to rehabilitate them for which the Foundation is willing to extend all possible help.
