Police searched Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) late Sunday following reports that shots had been fired at a
terminal.
Police responded to multiple 911 calls from several locations at the airport, NBC News reported.
But police said they had “not found any evidence of an armed suspect, a shooting or anyone who was injured,” law enforcement sources told NBC News.
Police said reports of a shooting incident at LAX had proven to have been just loud noises, according to NBC.
One passenger had earlier tweeted that the airport was “in lockdown.”
Earlier this month, a terminal at New York’s JFK airport was evacuated after false reports of shots being fired.
