Grundfos Unveils Three new Installer Champions in the Middle East

Grundfos, the award-winning world leader in advanced pump and water application systems, offered a thrilling experience for pump installers around the Middle East to test their skills, with three Grundfos Installer Championships that took place in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The Grundfos Installer Championship is a prize competition organized curtsey of Grundfos, which aims to assemble installers from all over the region to compete in installer-related capabilities and showcase their skills in various disciplines and becoming the best!
The competition is designed to boost awareness of Grundfos’ DBS products (Domestic Building Services) and to make Grundfos the preferred brand for both domestic and well driller installers. The first phase in the search for the next Grundfos Installer Champion took place on November 2, 2018 in the United Arab Emirates, in partnership with Mahy Khoory, Grundfos channel partner in the UAE.
More than 86 attendees came in for the thrill at the Swiss BelHotel in Sharjah and navigated the challenges of completing the task of answering the myriad of technical questions related to the Scala2, CMBE, Sololift and Unilift pump applications. The top 10 achieving participants were then selected for the final round of the competition, during which they were marked against tough criteria as they were asked to assemble a pump within a strict timeframe and with the added pressure of the spectators.
Commenting on the competition, Syed Ashraf Shahzad; Executive Sales Manager, Grundfos Gulf Distribution FZE said, “The competition aims to acquaint customers with Grundfos’ wide range of products that will deliver water to where it is needed; and help them understand how Grundfos is the right fit for the required application.”
Winner of the UAE Installer Championship was Wasim Ahmed.
The Kuwait Installer Championship took place on November 6, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and brought together more than 200 attendees. The winner Huthayfah Hesham Abdulhay and his fellow finalists competed for the installation of domestic pump applications during the competitions. They also received training about Grundfos domestic pumps, including the PM1&2/PM twin, Scala 2, Unilift C9, UPA Home Booster, CMBE (Twin), PF, Sololift, SB-A.
The event was held in partnership with Arabi, Grundfos channel partner in Kuwait, in the presence of Aaron Alex Fernandes, Sales Manager and garnered positive feedback from customers.
Amen Mohammed Fadel became the face of Grundfos Well Driller program in the Saudi Arabia Championship, which took place in partnership with Al Mousa, Grundfos’ channel partner in KSA.
“More than 60 installers joined our competition to bag the title and become the fastest installers of Deep Well Product; SQ. They also enjoyed the informative presentations, which highligted other deep well products, such as SP, MS, MMS applications,” commented Nader Ibrahim Alhujaylan – Account Manager. “The event was also the opportunity for installers from the region to understand challenges and a platform to discuss their needs.”
Also present at the event was Yousuf Gaber – Service Engineer for Grundfos.
