Man stabs father to death about computer dispute in Sydney

A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder in
Sydney after he allegedly stabbed his father to death following a
heated dispute over the use of a computer, police said Monday.

The incident took place on Sunday night, police said, and the father,
who was 56, died on the way to hospital.

The son was arrested and charged with one count of murder, police
said, adding his bail on Monday was refused.

Police said the dispute unfolded over an argument about a computer.

“I believe the son uses it quite regularly and when he’s asked to
come to the dinner table he continued on the computer,” police
inspector Ken Hardie told reporters in Sydney.

The victim’s wife was at home at the time of the attack but she was
not involved, he said.
