The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed it is investigating a new sexual battery allegation against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently serving a prison sentence for separate offenses.
The investigation stems from a report filed by a male publicist and music producer in September. According to the police report, the accuser alleges that in 2020, Combs exposed himself while masturbating under a shirt and then asked the producer to assist him. The producer stated he did not respond, after which Combs allegedly continued the act before throwing the shirt at him.
The accuser, whose name has been redacted from the public document, told investigators he did not report the incident for several years because he felt embarrassed. He came forward to a police department in Florida shortly after Combs was convicted on prostitution-related charges.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received an official copy of the Florida report this past Friday, prompting the new investigation.
An attorney for Combs issued a firm denial of the allegations, stating the music mogul “categorically denies as false and defamatory all claims that he sexually abused anyone.”
Combs is currently serving a four-year prison sentence following his conviction in July. That case involved flying his girlfriends and male sex workers across the country to engage in drug-fueled sexual encounters over a period of many years.
