Brutal protest against stray dogs in Kerala, India

Playing to public sentiment against stray dogs in Kerala, members of a Youth Front killed around 10 stray dogs on 27th Sep, 2016 to protest against the menace. The group beat the dogs to death, tied a few to a pole and paraded in Kottayam town of Kerala, India. They were protesting against the stance taken by many politicians, NGO’s and Animal activists against the state for its poor handling of the menace.

The protestors took the dog carcasses to the post office in the town and demanded that the dogs be sent in a parcel. As a token gesture, they left the dead dogs at Kottayam West post office to be dispatched.

According to reports, the local administration officials later cleared the dead dogs from the post office gate and buried them in a nearby ground. Kottayam West police have registered a case against the protestors for cruelty against animals and said that the bodies will be exhumed and sent for post mortem, the next day.

Al these people who have killed the dogs and made their death a farce are criminals but even bigger criminals are the media persons who called it “a protest with a difference.” A local paper said “murderous dogs have been given capital punishment.”

Yogi Ashwini, the guiding light of Dhyan Foundation believes that humans have no right to judge anyone, only Divine can. All the people who culled these innocent animals have carved their way to lower dimensions ie the hells which await even worse pains for them. Law of Karma states that our actions bounce back and in even harsher ways. If we watch all these atrocities on animals quietly then we also become part of these heinous crimes and we must be prepared to bear similar severe pains.

We must raise our voice against such soul stirring incidents by signing petitions and sending them to state government and concerned authorities. Write mails to & call the administration to take stern action against the offenders and stop such incidents in future.
