A man was left brain dead after being violently attacked for being white. The racially charged hate crime happened in New York City’s Union Square.
The suspect, Lashawn Marten, is a 31 year old a black male who repeatedly yelled, “I hate white people” as he went on his rampage. Marten had vowed to attack innocent white people on the streets just for being white.
One witness reported that Marten yelled, “The next white person who walks by I’m going to f#ck.”
Then he went on a hate filled rampage and attacked multiple white people on the street for no reason.
As a result from the attack three men were injured. One victim, a 62 year old man named Jeffery Babbitt, was sucker punched really hard and he fell to the ground. Several witnesses say they heard his skull crack as it hit the pavement.
62 year old Babbitt, who is currently in a coma, was eventually brought to the hospital, where it was determined that he is now brain dead…
