Integrated Logistics Support Center of UEC in Vietnam has already repaired five helicopter engines

The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Center for the repair of helicopter engines produced by UEC-Klimov JSC (part of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec State Corporation) located in the Vietnamese city of Vũng Tàu, has already performed the overhaul of five engines.

Earlier this year, the new center was certified by the Aviation Administration of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. It is equipped with all the necessary machinery, spare parts and units to repair engines designed by UEC-Klimov.

The medium repair of TV3-117 and VK-2500 type engines operated in Vietnam, is performed by UEC-Klimov professionals. The Russian side supplies parts and assemblies, spare parts, trains personnel on the maintenance of engines and main gearboxes.

The Vietnamese side provided support staff for auxiliary works. Vietnamese experts have already received UEC-Klimov certificates of successful orientation on the medium repair of the engines. They helped Russian staff to successfully carry out a pilot repair of the first TV3-117VM ser.02 engine for the Mi-17-1V helicopter, which is operated by Vietnamese civil aviation for passenger traffic. The engine was damaged due to an intrusion of a foreign object.

In October 2018, UEC-Klimov JSC and the Vietnamese Helicopter Technical Service Company signed a distribution agreement for the service maintenance of engines. Helicopter Technical Service Company, which hosts the ILS Center, focuses on the service maintenance of Russian-made helicopters. It acts as a distributor of TV3-117 and VK-2500 engines.
