Absa bank allegedly asked one of Zuma’s wives, Thobeka Madiba Zuma, to give an explanation of the financial activities in her bank account.
The bank wants Zuma’s wife to explain the millions of rands flowing through her account. She was requested earlier to submit answers, but to date, she has not responded. Should she continue to fail to provide an explanation, the bank will have to report the operations to the Financial Intelligence Center?
She does not receive a salary but benefits millions of rands from unexplained sources. Zuma’s son Duduzane’s transaction account and credit accounts were closed by the bank last year and were apparently linked to Gupta transactions.
