Zuma’s D-day

Die Vryburger

Today, Friday, 13 October, is Jacob Zuma’s D-Day when the Appeals Court pronounces the application for leave to appeal by Zuma and the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

Zuma has applied for a Supreme Court ruling that 783 fraud complaints be reinstated, be set aside. However, Zuma acknowledged that the original decision not to prosecute was irrational.

However, he has asked to make new submissions to the NPA before a decision can be taken to prosecute or not.

Regslui agrees they are playing for time. Shaun Abrahams, a Zuma confidant, will have to decide how and when the chief will be charged.
