Zondo Commission is just a sham without investigations and action

If there are no thorough investigations launched and action taken based on the findings of Judge Raymond Zondo, then the Commission is no more than a sham and a waste of money.

Thus, the Investigating Directorate of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) must commence with its investigations as soon as possible.

Some of the individuals specifically named in the reports include former President Jacob Zuma, Ace Magashule (suspended Secretary-General of the ANC), Dudu Myeni (former chairperson of the SAA), and now also Gwede Mantashe, current Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy Affairs.

The more time passes by, the more opportunities those implicated in corruption and fraud have to cover their tracks; while there are some in the State Security Agency (SSA) and crime intelligence units who will do everything they can to cover up any transgressions.

These investigations may take many years to conclude and the more time passes by, the bigger the holes in the catch net become.

The ANC must realise that it is fully to blame for state capture and its negative consequences and should the party fail to take action against the guilty parties, it will surely be reflected at the polls.
