Young girl airlifted to hospital after Germiston shooting

A shooting incident at a Germiston residential complex left two adults and a 12-year-old girl wounded on Sunday morning, paramedics said.

A woman, her daughter and a man were shot during the incident, Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.

Paramedics found the woman in a serious condition, while the girl and man had sustained critical wounds.

The 12-year-old was airlifted to hospital in Alberton. The man and woman were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Botha said police would investigate the shooting.

Gauteng police could not be immediately reached for comment.

According to eNCA a man opened fire on his ex-girlfriend, her new partner and her daughter through a window of her home at the Manhattan Heights complex in Libra Road, Sunnyrock Ext 4, Germiston. He was reportedly apprehended by security personnel at the complex.
