The formal bail hearing of a woman believed to be a stock theft mastermind behind the theft of about 411 cattle in Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal since 2011, Ntandokazi Xoliswa Mbombo has been postponed until 23 to 24 July 2020. The defence attorney was not well enough to proceed with the case on 14 July 2020. She is still in police custody.

She was arrested on 27 May 2020 at Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal and charged for stock theft, fraud, failure to give satisfactory account for stock known to be stolen.

She is suspected to be the mastermind behind a ruthless stock theft syndicate that began its activities in and around Grahamstown from 2011.

At least 411 cattle are suspected to have been stolen by this stock-theft gang with estimated value of R6 165 000,00.

She was arrested with a 29-year-old male, who is also behind bars since 27 May 2020. The 29-year-old is suspected to have been responsible for all transport logistics for the stolen stock.
