Helen Zille, Western Cape Premier, and her group was stoned in Hermanus when she wanted to address the “community”.
The police were present and during the incident and a policeman was robbed of his service pistol. The gun has apparently been found by community leaders and will be handed over to the police.
The unrest has been ongoing since Tuesday and the library, the recycling center and buildings at the pool have been burned down.
