Carrying out the SAPS mission to cooperate with interested parties in the community to address the root causes of crime, members in Worcester followed up on information regarding illegal firearms in Avian Park.

Taking the needs of the community into account, the members conducted an operation that led to the arrest of two male suspects aged 17 and 20 as well as a 47 year old female suspects in possession of two revolvers during the early hours of 6 November 2017.

The suspects are expected to make a court appearance at the Worcester Magistrate’s Court on 8 November 2017, to face charges of possession of firearms without a licence.
