A 23 year old suspect is due to appear in the Knysna Magistrates’ Court, after her arrest on a charge of murder following the death of a 20 year old man at Concordia, Knysna on 29 December 2019 at about 21:00.
It is alleged that the woman and her boyfriend had an argument when she stabbed him with a knife. He sustained a stab wound and went outside the residence where he collapsed. The victim was later declared dead by paramedics.
In an unrelated matter the police arrested a 31 year old suspect following the death of a 6 month old infant. Investigation into this case indicates that the infant was assaulted by the suspect, her father. She sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital where she later died.
The suspect appeared in the Knysna Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 30 December 2019, on a charge of murder. This matter was postponed to 6 January for a formal bail application.
