Members attached to Tulbagh SAPS were doing routine patrol in their policing precinct when they spotted a vehicle with two male occupants. The vehicle was stopped and searched and dagga was seized. The two men aged 54 and 58 were arrested.

Franschhoek Police and Public Order Policing (POP) conducted an operation on Tuesday, 28 February 2023. The members executed two search warrants at different residential premises in Franschhoek.

They recovered a variety of rolled copper wires, copper pipes, aluminium wires, taps and copper fittings. A 55-year-old man was arrested under the CMA and Second hand goods Act.

At one of the premises the members also found 47 bottles of Black Label beers and a docket under the Western Cape liquor Act 4/2008 was opened. The liquor was handed in as exhibit.

In an unrelated incident Steenberg Crime Prevention Unit in conjunction with Metro Police arrested a 26-year-old man on the night of 28 February 2023 in Lavender Hill for possession of drugs.

Members searched a residential premises after they received valuable information. Upon the search members found loose crystal meth and 11 packets of Tik.

All the suspects will appear in their respective courts once charged.
