Members of the Western Cape police remain steadfast in their efforts to combat crime and enhance public safety, with another successful arrest made in Delft.
On Friday, 13 June 2025, at approximately 07:30, officers attached to the Delft SAPS Crime Prevention Unit were conducting crime-combating patrols in designated hotspot areas when they noticed a male pedestrian displaying suspicious behaviour. Upon spotting the police, the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was swiftly pursued and apprehended by the officers.
A search of the suspect revealed a silver 9mm Cal P.A.K pistol with its serial number filed off, along with one magazine. The adult suspect was immediately arrested for possession of a prohibited firearm and is expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrates’ Court once formally charged.
