Western Cape ANC in trouble

Die Vryburger

The Western Cape ANC experienced a further setback when its largest region was dissolved.

The Dullah Omar region that includes Cape Town has been officially dissolved as a result of the internal turmoil. The region claims to represent 1.9 million ANC members.

Apparently, the region’s management did not heed instructions from the party’s provincial executive committee, and the region is accused of not performing, despite their strong membership base. One of the complaints against them was that they only had brown members in the Cape Town, but no whites.

The current leadership is now dissolved and will be replaced with interim leaders until new leaders are elected in six months.
