A Vetus Schola Tactical Response Team member was shot and wounded during an Armed Escort Attempted Heist:
On Wednesday 20 July 2017 at 08:40, the Vetus Schola Tactical Response Team came under a vicious gunfire attack whilst escorting a vehicle transporting valuable commodities.
Two vehicles, occupied by eight suspects, pulled up next to the Vetus Schola escort vehicle and opened fire using large caliber weapons.
The Vetus vehicle driver was shot in the chin and twice in the arm but still managed to continue driving which enabled his partner to launch a defensive return attack.
Not expecting a high caliber return attack, the perpetrators had no option but to flee for their lives and abandon the heist.
Expert marksmanship, fearless resolve, and rapid assimilation abilities in a life-threatening situation helped the Vetus members to remain calm under fire.
The Vetus members demonstrated that they have the hearts of true warriors. Their noble and just actions have led to the apprehension of four out of the eight perpetrators, all with gunshot wounds.
One suspect has succumbed to his injuries.
One of the Vetus vehicles has been recovered and the Cargo of valuable commodities was successfully delivered to our client, intact.
The TRT driver is in hospital, in a serious but stable condition.
