On the night of 9 August 2018, three male aged 23, 26 and 30 were arrested in Browns Farm, Nyanga, Cape Town for impersonating a traffic officer.

The three suspects were conducting an illegal roadblock with the possible intention to collect bribe money from motorists, when they were confronted by SAPS members.

One of the suspects is a traffic warden and supplied the other two with his uniform.

All three have been detained and are expected to appear in Athlone Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
