Tik and mandrax recovered, 3 arrested, Mitchells Plain

The Mitchells Plain Crime Prevention Unit ensured that drugs that were destined to destroy our communities were confiscated from criminals during an operation.

On Tuesday 8 May 2018, at about 16:00 the members received a complaint of drugs at a premises in Peugeot Crescent, Beacon Valley. Upon arrival, the members searched the premises and confiscated three big clear packets of Tik with a weight of 303 grams. Police arrested two males age 22 and 46 respectively for possession of Tik. They are expected to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates Court soon.

At the same time another group of the Mitchells Plain Crime prevention unit members received a tip off about drugs at a premises in Netball Street, Beacon Valley which they immediately reacted on. Upon arrival, they searched the premises and confiscated 249 Mandrax tablets and crushed Mandrax.

Police arrested a 45 year old male for possession of Mandrax, and he is expected to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates Court soon.
